2020 Ford Mustang vs 2019 Ford Mustang
Serving Havelock, NC
When the Ford Mustang debuted in 1965, it introduced the pony class and gained immediate popularity. It has been offered without interruption since that time, and it is currently in its sixth generation. At Riverside Ford NC, our customers are thrilled to discover that the Mustang is offered in 11 distinctive variations. Due to the affordability of both Mustang models means that this is a muscle car that may be well-suited for most of our customers. A careful comparison of the 2019 and 2020 versions may help you to narrow down the possibilities.
Performance
The most significant difference that you will find between the 2019 Ford Mustang and the 2020 version is in the performance capabilities. For 2020, the 4-cylinder EcoBoost powertrain comes with an available Handling Package. You can also select a 2020 Mustang that comes with an EcoBoost Performance Package for improved output. This raises the powertrain’s capability from 300 horsepower up to 330 horsepower. At the top end of the power spectrum, the TREMEC 7-speed dual-clutch transmission is now paired with the V8, 5.2-liter supercharged engine. This combination includes a MagneRide advanced damping feature as standard equipment. With this powertrain in your 2020 Mustang, you can appreciate 700 horsepower at your fingertips.
Appearance
Several exterior variations are available for 2019 and 2020. These include a fastback coupe, a convertible coupe, the Bullitt line, and the Shelby line. The appearance between these variations is unchanged between 2019 and 2020. Depending on which option you select, your Mustang may come with a smooth, rolling hood or muscular definition in the hood. Lower trims have a comparable front-end design with piercing LED headlights, a black grille with a chrome pony emblem, horizontal-bar turning lights, and an athletic lower fascia. As you step up to higher trims, the grille develops smoother corners and loses the pony emblem. The LED headlights angle upward slightly, and the lower front fascia has black coloring for an aggressive look.
Features
Inside the Mustang, the 2020 model now includes FordPass Connect technology across all trims. For both model years, your Mustang could provide you with RECARO racing seats, a 12-inch LCD instrument gauge in full color, climate-controlled seats, a push-button starter, smartphone integration, a heated steering wheel with paddle shifters, Ford Safe and Smart assistive technologies, SYNC 3, a color display screen with touch access, a multi-zone electric temperature control system, voice-activated technologies, HD radio, a Bang & Olufsen sound system and additional features.
