2020 Ford F-150 vs 2019 Ford F-150
Serving Havelock, NC
As you continue your search for a full-size truck that offers reliable power, incredible features, and a head-turning style, you can quickly narrow down the scope of your search to the F-150. Both the 2019 and 2020 Ford F-150 versions are placed in the line's 13th generation. While this generation debuted in 2015, Ford has progressively improved the F-150 since the last generational update. Before you decide between the 2019 and 2020 versions, you need to be aware of the differences between them.
Performance
For 2019 and 2020, the Ford F-150 is offered in seven trims. Their performance abilities on a trim-by-trim basis are unchanged. However, there are differences in capabilities between the trims for both years. For example, the base trim level across both years is powered by a 3.3-liter, Ti-VCT V6 engine that delivers capable performance with 290 horsepower. On the other hand, the top trim for both years is equipped with an EcoBoost V6, High Output 3.5-liter engine that generates 450 horsepower. Several different powertrains are standard or optional across the trims for both years, and our sales reps at Riverside Ford NC are excited to assist with your comparison through a few test drives.
Appearance
Each trim for both years has unique styling elements, and these are mostly unchanged going into the 2020 model year. However, if you take home the 2020 F-150 XL, XLT or Lariat, your truck will be outfitted with new appearance packages. Generally, the Ford F-150 has a prominent, commanding grille that expands across most of the front end, and C-shaped LED headlights on the sides cap it. The hood has a chiseled definition, and the sides are smooth, except for a lower character line. Exterior equipment may include a 170-degree rear door, BoxLink, tailgate lift assist, daytime running lights, running boards, a tailgate step, spotlights mounted to the side mirrors, heated side mirrors, cargo bed lighting and much more.
Features
The Ford F-150 for 2019 and 2020 is available in your choice of cabin configurations. Between cabin configurations and the seven trim levels, substantial variations in included and optional features are present. For 2020, all trims now have a wireless hotspot as a standard feature. Also, assistive safety features have been categorized into packages. Some of the items included in various trims for both years are intelligent key access, a push-button ignition, a reverse sensing system, an electronic dual-zone temperature system, power-adjusting pedals with memory, up to an 8-inch productivity screen, cruise control, ambient lighting, keyless entry, paddle shifters, a SYNC 3 infotainment system, a navigation system with voice activation and numerous other features.
