Generating 166 hp and 149 lb-ft, a 2.0 L I-4 engine with the Ti-VCT and GDI technologies, is optional under the hood of this subcompact Ford crossover SUV. Consisting of three inline cylinders, the 2020 Escape's 1.5 L EcoBoost engine yields 181 hp and 190 lb-ft. This compact Ford crossover SUV also offers the 2.0 L EcoBoost engine, which has a peak output of 250 hp and 280 lb-ft.

Additionally, a 2.5 L gas engine with the iVCT and Atkinson Cycle design is optional in the 2020 Escape.
