2020 Ford EcoSport vs 2020 Chevy Trax
Serving Havelock, NC
As subcompact crossover SUVs from reputable brands, the Ford EcoSport and the Chevy Trax are frequently viewed as comparable. While they have some similarities, their substantial differences will help you decide which of these capable vehicles is a good fit for you. Their differences begin with price. The EcoSport’s entry-level trim is priced noticeably lower than the Trax’s base price. What are the other differences between the EcoSport and the Trax?
Exterior
The Ford EcoSport is a capable, athletic vehicle with a small stance on the road. It boasts substantial ground clearance with front and rear skid plates for functionality. Simultaneously, its character is defined by a confident rear with a forward-facing, momentum-driven profile. From LED headlights to foglamps, power-adjusting mirrors, and more, the EcoSport brings to the table everything that you want to find in a new SUV. In comparison, the 2020 Chevy Trax stands more upright. It shows off a slight angle at the rear, and the overall flow through the sides is horizontal. It has skid plates and stacked grille design.
Interior
These small crossovers both have two rows of seats, and their higher-level versions come with premium material and heated seats. While they have many of the same features, such as auto climate control, a sound system, and more, they stand apart in their styling. The 2020 Ford EcoSport maximizes interior space with a vertical dashboard layout. The center console holds the gear shifter, and it is placed at a right angle next to the center stack. Rotary knobs and buttons are available to control the auto temperature management system, the sound system, the infotainment system, etc. The 2020 Chevy Trax, on the other hand, has a more dramatic angle through the center stack. This directly impacts the feel of the space in the front row.
Performance
The EcoSport is available with two powertrain possibilities, and one of these is a four-cylinder EcoBoost engine. It is supported by auto start-stop and six-speed SelectShift auto transmission. The Trax for 2020 is only available with one engine across its trims. This is a four-cylinder engine connected to a six-speed auto transmission.
