For 2021, the Ford F-150 will hit dealership lots with a new look following a complete design overhaul. The Ford F-150 also expands upon its mechanical offerings for 2021 by giving consumers the option of a hybrid engine for the first time. The cabin of the 2021 Ford F-150 is also updated this year, with a newly added Sync 4 interface and a larger 12-inch display screen making their debut for the first time. The Ford F-150 still has its most popular characteristics this year, including the fact that it is a durable full-size work truck with a luxurious interior and plenty of available creature comforts. With all the amenities and features it offers, the Ford F-150 feels equally at home on-road or off.
One of the biggest stirs the 2021 Ford F-150 has created is its updated mechanical system and powertrain. While a 3.3-liter V6 gasoline engine is standard, the previous 3.5-liter V6 engine beneath the Ford F-150's hood has been redesigned into a hybrid variant this year. Now, the Ford F-150 has an available capable hybrid powertrain that pairs the standard V6 engine with a battery pack and an electric motor capable of producing 47 HP. The new mechanical configuration gives the Ford F-150 an impressive 700 miles in range. It also increases the truck's power output. With the new mechanical engine under its hood, the Ford F-150 has the proud honors of being the only truck in its class that offers a fully electric mechanical system.
Changes are added to the Ford F-150's cabin as well. The interior gets larger knobs for a more user-friendly experience and a safer drive. Reclining seats are offered on select trims. A stowable shifter can be folded into the spacious center console when you need more space. Additional safety features are added to the Ford this year, including an Active Drive Assist system, which adds a hands-free driving mechanism to the truck on highways. Technology now includes an onboard power charging station and a refreshed infotainment screen.
