What's New for the 2020 Ford Escape?
For 2020, the Ford Escape enters its fourth generation and shows off a full refresh's exciting results. This begins with updates to the exterior design, which is stunningly sleek. The Escape's sport-minded style is accentuated with well-placed personality lines on the hood's sides, thick lower-body molding on the sides, and chrome-accented side mirrors. The hexagonal grille is brought to life by a metal-accented lower-front fascia and confident LED headlights. Inside the cabin, some of the Escape trim levels have elegant wood accents, a SYNC 3 system, and leather seating. Other features include Alexa tech, FordPass Connect, Ford Co-Pilot 360, Waze navigation tech, and more.
The next-generation Escape is offered in four powertrains. One of these is the hybrid I-4, 2.5-liter engine that has returned after a short hiatus. This engine is also available as a plug-in hybrid. The two gas powertrains that carry up from last year have improved power ratings. These are a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine and a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine. Both of these are linked to automatic start-stop tech.
